Springtime at Harborfields!
Springtime at Harborfields!

Come smell the lilacs and the lupines and enjoy the village before it gets too crowded. From our opening in mid-April until the middle Saturday in June, rentals are 20% off our normal summer rates.

We invite you to stay in our 18th century farmhouse, one of the oldest houses in the area. While this beautiful old house is loaded with authentic period details, it has all the modern amenities including an airtight wood stove and a Monitor heating system to take the chill off even the chilliest of late-Spring and early-Summer nights.

It's a great deal at our spring rate, and since it sleeps eleven in five separate bedrooms, it's an even better bargain if you bring friends and family along and share the cost! Complete kitchen, two bathrooms, modern appliances, comfortable living room furniture. Great antique shops and restaurants in the area. Come join us and experience Spring on the Maine coast!!

For that matter, all of our cottages feature a fireplace or woodstove, and electric heaters, making them warm and inviting on even the chilliest spring morning.

Thus in addition to affordable family reunions, the 1780 House, the Lodge, or even the whole Harborfields compound, could also make great places for business, civic, and educational organizations to bring their staff members for working retreats, professional development activities, mini-conferences, or business meetings - Spring or Fall!

Glorious Fall in Maine!
Glorious Fall in Maine!

Those who are "in the know," know that autumn is Maine's best season. The cool crisp air and clear blue skies help accentuate the flaming oranges and reds of the changing leaves. The sailing remains superb -- without any threat of the famous Maine fog! The summer crowds have departed, and the wildlife has returned. From the first Saturday after Labor day until our closing in mid-October, our rentals are reduced by 15% from their normal summer rates.

With fireplaces or woodstoves, and electric heaters, all of the cottages are quite warm and cozy. You really should come and find out just how nice it can be! Then you too could be "in the know."

During these Fall and Spring off-seasons, Harborfields makes a great retreat for writers, artists, musicians, and wildlife enthusiasts. Touring around the shore in the fall you certainly see many water birds not seen during the summer. This year, there has been a big seal patrolling the cove. We were even once visited by a Maine moose!

Homeschoolers' Off-Season Discount

In addition to the off-season discounts we offer to all guests, we offer an extra 5% discount to homeschooling families, as our way of helping to make a Maine vacation a more affordable option for families who are able to join us during the Spring and Fall.

To take advantage of any of these special deals, just make a reservation.

Winter on the Coast
Unfortunately we are unable to keep the cottages open through the winter (the water pipes are frozen!). But winter on the coast is a quiet time featuring its own stark beauty.
