Where is Harborfields?
From US Route 1, north or south, take Route 27 through Boothbay Harbor, following signs to Southport. After passing St. Andrews Hospital and BBH Yacht Club, cross the causeway and turn left on McKown Point Road. HARBORFIELDS is 100 yards ahead, on left.

What can you do at Harborfields?
The single most frequent complaint heard from visitors to the Boothbay region is that they simply don’t have enough time in a one-week (or two-week) vacation to do all the things they’d like to do while they’re here! On the water, for example, the opportunities for fun and recreation are almost limitless. You might cruise around the harbor and to the outlying islands on an historic schooner. There are also dinner and party cruises aboard modern charter boats you might enjoy. Rentals of sailboats, runabouts, and sea kayaks are possible too, allowing you to explore the region at your own pace, and if you like to fish, how about taking a chartered fishing expedition? Throughout the summer there are special events, such as the annual Fisherman’s Festival and Windjammer Days. In addition to these on-the-water delights, there’s always swimming in the cold, clear Atlantic at one of the three state park beaches nearby, or from the Harborfields’ dock.

There are numerous nature preserves in the area that feature well-marked hiking trails through the cool, dark spruce forest and along the rocky shore. For those who prefer hitting those little white balls as they stroll, there are two country clubs in the area, open to non-sailboat drawingmembers. Other sports activities can be enjoyed through the Boothbay Region YMCA or the Juniper Point Association (for Harborfields’ guests only).

And what would a visit to the Maine coast be without sampling the fare at some of the best seafood restaurants in the entire state? From lobster rolls to Lobster Newburgh, the range of delights to be had in the area spans the budgetary, and culinary, spectrum. All these attractions, and more, combine to make us confident when we say that, whether or not Maine is “The Way Life Should Be,” Harborfields is certainly “The Way Life Can Be!”

Off-Season
The Boothbay region can be extraordinarily beautiful during the periods when HARBORFIELDS’ rates are reduced. Join us in May and June to watch the lilacs and wildflowers bloom, or in mid-September and October when the air is crystal clear, the water sparkles like diamonds, the leaves make Technicolor pale by comparison and the crowds have gone home. All cottages have wood and electric heat for your off-season comfort.
